Gerry Spence’s 18th book “Police State: How America’s Cops Get Away With Murder”, was recently reviewed by Laurie L. Levenson of the Los Angeles Review of Books. Levenson is a former Prosecuter and did not want to like the book. Yet she read it anyway, with a mind full of doubt. This book is one of the best he has ever written and it is a side of Gerry Spence that is worth seeing. Here are a couple of quotes from the review…

“Police State: How America’s Cops Get Away with Murder gives us the best of Gerry Spence.”

“Using tales of his brilliance in court, Spence answers those questions. No, we are not safe, and that is precisely why we need people like Gerry Spence to represent people in court.”

“Gerry Spence has written a terrific book on the problems with today’s criminal justice system.”
